I was traveling in Sicily last year. Miki and I took a walk along a dirt road, and I stumbled upon these wonderful white and yellow flowers. I took a bunch of photos on my I pad and did not think about them, until my workshop with Karen Margulis. She told us that we would be painting them, so I printed out my photo’s for the workshop.

Little did I know that painting these exquisite flower would be a real A-HA moment for me. These flowers captivated me and I painted them for the duration of the workshop. I found that the background for the flowers are what sets off the beautiful flowers, so I had fun using ink, sticks of charcoal, dried ink sticks, pastels over wet ink, pastels with alcohol, the possibilities are endless. To paint a really nice painting is easy, I will show you how in a step and step fool proof method. We will complete one vertical painting in the morning and a horizontal painting in the afternoon, they are going to be fabulous paintings, ready for a frame. Sign up and enjoy the painterly journey, I guarantee you will have fun and paint a Queen Anne Lace.
