Rather than resolutions, which we all love to make and break, we'll explore activities, plans, ideals, and wishes that we hope to invite into our lives in 2025. We’ll cut a 4x4” book from hand-decorated cardstock, bind the pages using embroidery floss and then decorate the pages using images brought from home, words and artsy embellishments using paint, pens, and collage. We'll learn about and practice simple bookbinding, mark-making, hand lettering, journaling, page layout, and creating functional page elements like pockets and flaps. Get yourself in the right mindset for a year of creativity and wish-fulfillment.

About Natalie Strong
Natalie Strong is a mixed media artist from El Segundo, California. She has been teaching mixed media art, art journaling and fiber art since 2017 through El Segundo Recreation and Parks, Manhattan Beach Parks and Recreation, and South Bay Artist Studio as well as teaching private lessons and hosting art gatherings. She spent four years on the El Segundo Arts and Cultural Advisory Committee. She has worked as the Education Director at Destination: Art since 2023.
