Desmond was honored to be named, Eminent Pastelist in March of 2018, by International Assoc Pastel Artists (IAPS); only 12 other pastelists internationally have this distinction. In this workshop there will be daily demonstrations, you will explore common painting problems with an expert, and there will be discussions about how to market your own art. The design of the workshop will move the individual student a few steps further on their painting journey. Desmond will visit your easel often giving supportive critiques that will improve each painting you begin. Oil painters are also welcome!

Supply list:
Easel
Soft pastels with a sufficient assortment of light, medium, and dark colors
Pastel paper or boards (not heavily sanded)
Drop cloth
Stool or chair
A couple of sticks of medium vine charcoal
Kneaded eraser
Photo references with a variety of images
Two broad tip markers, one black and one medium grey
A few sheets of white printer paper
