Thanks to a generous grant from Disabled Veterans Charities, Destination: Art is proud to offer free art workshops for all veterans: Veterans Creative Muster. Each four-hour workshop includes all supplies and lunch.
To foster creativity and healing through art, we invite veterans to attend and enjoy the following benefits: -Engaging with fellow veterans in a supportive environment -Exploring various art mediums, including painting, drawing and mixed media -Learning techniques from experienced instructors -Expressing your thoughts and emotions through creative outlets -Building confidence and self-esteem through artistic achievements -Enjoying a therapeutic experience that promotes mental well-being
Together we will create a series of loose, abstract watercolor circles, letting colors blend and flow naturally. Once the paint is dry, we will add details of dots, lines, loops and metallic accents to build layers of interest and texture. No prior art experience is necessary; all skill levels are welcome! All materials plus lunch are provided. This workshop series is open and FREE to all veterans (and caregivers if they are disabled) ages 18 and older. Space is limited.
Note: Our registration system will tell you that your spot in the class will not be reserved until you pay. Since this is a free workshop, however, you may disregard that notification.
