When we love, when we connect, we enter a personal contract that ultimately leads us to also feel grief and loss when our loved ones leave. This is all part of the cycles of life and the cycles of love. Grief occurs because we cared, we loved, we connected. Then separation and loss occurred causing incredible pains. These aching pains include confusion, emptiness, loneliness, guilt, anger, depression, lostness, and numbness. Human experiences like grief are inevitable, and excruciating.

How do we recover and what does recovery from grief and loss even mean? Creativity and art-making can help us rework, release, and take steps toward daily recovery and renewal. During this three hour class, you will creatively experience how art-making guides you through many stages of grieving and leads toward being renewed. Seven artistic projects will refresh your love of life and honor your loss, while also helping you create new paths to recovering after loss.

Since 1983, Dr Carol Francis has used Art Therapy and Creativity Tools as a Clinical Psychologist and Family Therapist. She has written 24 books, three of which specifically show how art and creativity invigorate emotional and mental well-being.

The class fee includes all materials and a choice of one of Dr Carol Francis books about Art and Well-Being. All projects are doable and enjoyable for any level of artistic skills.

Dress to make a mess. Bring refreshments to share. I look forward to meeting you.
