In this workshop, participants will learn how to paint with gouache focusing on landscapes. Gouache is a fantastic medium for painting quickly, drying to a nice matte sheen and water soluble. We will be overviewing composition, tone over color, shapes in a landscape and how to apply these concepts to your painting. Participants can follow along with instructor or bring in their own photo reference or master-copy they wish to paint.

About Andrew Cortez
Andrew Cortez is a figurative and plein air artist in Southern California.
He attended Laguna College of Art and Design in Laguna Beach, CA
studying Fine Art and Animation. Andrew has been featured in
Richeson75 International Competition, South West Magazine,
demonstrated for multiple art leagues, juried for Huntington Beach Art
League and has exhibited in Laguna Beach City Hall Exhibitions as well
as the Masur Museum. He currently teaches at his new studio, Anaheim
Art Studio in Anaheim, as well as, Orange County School of the Arts in
Santa Ana, CA and Catalyst in Westminster, CA.
