Art Journaling is the creation of a sketchbook or journal full of creative exploration, personal investigation, and artistic record keeping. Perfect for beginners as well as experienced artists, art journaling provides both a creative practice space as well as a low-pressure outlet for externalizing what we might otherwise keep inside.

In this first installment of "Themes in Art Journaling - Exploring Opposites" students will explore the rich themes of contrasting visuals and ideas: Bright and Dull, Minimalist and Maximalist, Organic and Geometric, Despair and Hope, Dark and Light. You can address them conceptually and/or delve into self-exploration. As always, this workshop will be something of a Choose Your Own Adventure. This is a process based class, so you can come in as a true novice and still succeed. I have attached a general mixed media kit materials list if you are interested, but you can arrive empty handed and be just fine! You do not have to have attended any previous workshops within this series to participate in this one.
