Bernard Fallon: Color, Composition & Camera. An all-media workshop for artists to help improve their painting by understanding some fundamentals of "seeing". Composition is often based on our own sense of balance and viewpoint. Students will enjoy some encouraging exercises that reveal their inherent skill in this very important painting ingredient. Camera optics might sound very technical, but it is important to understand how it affects your creativity. How you see the world and how the camera does are very different creatures. Color is not just a suggested emotion in a painting. The color wheel's promise versus the reality of color; a two-hundred year old theory that needs another review. Be ready for some challenging exercises and friendly critiques. Materials list sent upon registration.
