Get ready for Summer! Louisa is going to teach plain air and urban sketching techniques in the studio which will prepare you for going out into the field. She will lead the class through the first couple of projects, and then you will bring in your own subjects through the duration of the class. Learn how to look for interesting shapes, good lighting, and how to reduce the noise.

Louisa McHugh
Watercolor has always spoken to me in a way that no other medium has. With it's luminous, flowing qualities, watercolor provides an endless source of creative expression.
My work is often figurative, with several layers of transparent washes that roll over each other, causing the subject to drift in and out of focus. I take inspiration from the ordinary and find beauty in unconventional themes.
